Service Technician – Surface Specialist – FIFO / DIDO

About the opportunity

We are currently seeking several enthusiastic and skilled HD Fitters / Auto Electricians for our Field Service team supporting sites in the Pilbara and covering all other mining areas of Western Australia.

As a Service Technician, you will play a crucial role in supporting our customers with maintenance and repair on a range of surface Boom / Rotary drills, and their subcomponents including hydraulic, electrical, and automation systems.

This role offers a fly-in-fly-out arrangement from Perth on a flexible roster (8 : 6 / 5 : 2 / 4 : 3 / 14 : 7), with travel to different customer sites across WA.

Roster : 8 : 6, 5 : 2, 4 : 3 OR 14 : 7, 12hr day shift only.

Responsibilities

Take charge of mechanical duties, performing maintenance, repairs, and fault diagnosis on all Sandvik Mining equipment.

Execute mechanical maintenance tasks according to plans, ensuring equipment integrity and safe operation at all times.

Drive efficiency by providing insightful feedback for maintenance planning improvements.

Keep meticulous records of parts usage, equipment monitoring, and time logs.

Champion safety by adhering to all policies and procedures, especially Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) policies.

About you

Experience maintaining surface drilling (boom and rotary).

Commitment to safety for yourself and your team.

Proactive, self-motivated, and demonstrates initiative.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Basic computer literacy.

Current Manual Driver’s License.

Ability to pass pre-employment medical, reference, police, and regular onsite drug & alcohol testing.
