DevOps & Infrastructure Manager - Azure, GCP, Terraform, AD, Exchange, OnPrem

As an Engineering Manager - Cloud and Infrastructure , you will be responsible for overseeing a team of 10 engineers who are developing and managing scalable, secure and high-performance cloud solutions across Azure and GCP . You’ll help shape both the cloud architecture and engineering practices while leading the team through technical challenges and ensuring that the cloud infrastructure, and on-premise infrastructure meets operational goals and business needs.

This role offers an exciting opportunity to manage a team working with cutting-edge cloud technologies, Kubernetes containerisation, and multi-cloud environments, while ensuring seamless integration, security, and optimisation. You will also oversee the current on-prem environment which is mostly Microsoft based.

Based from Sydney CBD 3 days per week, with 2 days WFH.

Essential Skills :

• 5+ years of experience in cloud engineering with at least 2 years in an engineering management or leadership role.
• Expertise in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) , including services like GKE , Compute Engine , Cloud Storage , BigQuery , and Pub / Sub .
• Strong experience managing Microsoft Azure environments, including services such as Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) , Azure Functions , VMs , Storage Accounts , and Azure Active Directory (AD) .
• Solid experience with Kubernetes and containerized application deployment and management across cloud environments ( GKE, AKS ).
• Proficiency in CI / CD pipelines , Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, ARM templates), and cloud automation tools (e.g., Ansible, Chef, or Puppet).
• Experience designing hybrid cloud architectures and working with multi-cloud environments.
• Strong understanding of cloud security , including IAM (Identity and Access Management), network security, and best practices for securing cloud resources.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills, with a proven ability to collaborate across teams and manage diverse, technical groups.
• A passion for technology, cloud infrastructure, and continuous learning.
