Join the Team at ALS Newcastle – We're Hiring a Sample Receipt Officer!

We're excited to announce a newly created opportunity within our well-established team at ALS Newcastle. We’re looking for a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join us as a Sample Receipt Officer —a vital role supporting the smooth flow of incoming and outgoing goods for our busy commercial laboratory.

This fast-paced and hands-on role is perfect for someone who enjoys variety in their day and takes pride in accuracy and efficiency. Whether you're unpacking deliveries, sorting samples, or coordinating freight, you'll play an essential part in keeping our lab running smoothly.

What You’ll Be Doing :

  • Receive and check deliveries, ensuring samples meet testing requirements
  • Accurately sort, label, and log incoming samples into the lab system
  • Review and interpret client documentation
  • Organise freight pickups for both internal and interstate samples
  • Communicate with both internal and external clients regarding sample submissions
  • Maintain accurate filing systems and records
  • Assist with general housekeeping and uphold high safety standards

  • Ability to handle multiple tasks at once, while staying accurate and efficient
  • Understanding of lab safety and chemical hazard protocols (training provided if needed)
