About Foxleigh Mine :

Foxleigh Mine is located 15km south of Middlemount and approx. 275km northwest of Rockhampton. The mine is in its 25th year of operation producing premium PCI metallurgical coal for use in steel manufacturing. Foxleigh Mine is located in Queensland's Bowen Basin coalfield, 12km south of Middlemount and 272km northwest of Rockhampton. The mine was established in 1999 as an open cut operation producing benchmark quality, LV PCI coal for the export market.

About the Role Foxleigh Mine is seeking a Senior Environmental Advisor. Reporting to the Technical Services Manager, you will ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, and contribute to the sustainable development of our operations.

Key Responsibilities : Biodiversity Offset Management Plan implementation (including conservation rehabilitation projects). Liaison with government bodies. Cultural Heritage liaison and management. Progressive Rehabilitation and Closure Plan (PRCP) implementation to meet the Schedule commitments. Manage consultants and contractors to ensure compliance with environmental authorities (e.g. Regulated Structures audits, ecology surveys, site water balance, pest / weeds control). Develop and track the Annual Environmental Calendar. Provide expert advice on mine rehabilitation and contract management. Maintain the environmental data records (GIS and database platforms). Compilation of AnnualGovernment reporting (e.g., ROWIT, Waste, Annual Returns, NGERs, NPI). Review and submit Estimated Rehabilitation Cost (ERC) as required. Reviewing and approving Permits to disturb to maintain compliance with environmental approvals. Ground water and surface water monitoring. Mentoring and training of an environmental graduate About You : Tertiary qualification in Environmental Science or Engineering. Proven experience in a site based role. Demonstrated expertise in key environmental functions and regulatory compliance. Collaborative approach and focused on achieving outcomes. Experience in managing contractors, including cost management and scope delivery. Experience and implementation of rehabilitation works and monitoring.
