About the Role

This leading global organisation in the resources sector is seeking an experienced IT Systems Engineer to join their team based in Brisbane CBD. This permanent position is a full-time, office-based role offering exposure to enterprise-level infrastructure and a diverse technology stack.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support and maintain a broad range of IT systems including VMware, Windows Server, Active Directory, Exchange, SQL, MECM, CommVault, Cisco UCS, and PureStorage
  • Troubleshoot and monitor Hypervisor and virtual server infrastructure
  • Install, configure, and integrate new physical and virtual server environments
  • Create and maintain technical documentation
  • Collaborate with vendors and internal teams to deliver high-quality IT services

Skills & Experience

  • Demonstrated 5+ years of experience with VMware and Microsoft Windows Server : VMware – Hypervisor;CommVault – Backup Systems; Microsoft Windows Server & Active Directory; Microsoft Exchange (on-premises).
  • Experience with disaster recovery processes
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow structured processes

    • Desirable Skills

  • Pure Storage
  • Cisco UCS & Cisco Intersight

    • Tertiary Qualifications and / or certifications understood. Eg. Bachelor of Information Technology. Microsoft MCSE certification. ITIL 4.0 Foundation or Prince2 Foundation certification.
