    Job Description

    • Perform in-depth commercial analysis to inform strategic decision-making, assess financial performance, identify trends, and provide actionable insights for business growth.
    • Analyse and synthesise data to develop business cases supporting objectives and ICT needs, leveraging analytical skills to interpret complex data and offer strategic recommendations.
    • Design and implement data collection, reporting tools, and benchmarks, while leading the sharing of lessons learned, including capturing post-implementation reviews and suggestions for improvement.
    • Develop and execute strategies to optimize digital project spending, identifying cost trends and opportunities for savings and improved efficiency.
    • Gather and document user requirements through interviews, workshops, surveys, and workflow analysis, ensuring accuracy and completeness in documentation.
    • Lead the design and development of requirements and functional specifications using financial models and analysis tools, ensuring alignment with business needs.
    • Support the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts, ensuring they align with organizational goals and strategic objectives.
    • Cultivate relationships with stakeholders and key customers to track, analyze, and report project costs, presenting information clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
    • Conduct gap analyses of current and future financial processes, proactively addressing challenges with effective problem-solving.
    • Collaborate with architecture, procurement, hosting platforms, and finance teams to ensure transparency, accountability, and successful project outcomes, maintaining customer satisfaction and aligning with business objectives.
    • The Successful Applicant

    • Experience working with clinicians or in a healthcare setting (distinct from health sciences roles like pharmacy or health insurance).
    • Strong presentation and report writing skills.
    • Ability to perform qualitative and quantitative analysis, with advanced data analysis not required for this role.
    • Proficient in benefits identification and analysis.
    • Experience in project / program evaluations, including developing key metrics, conducting pre- and post-measurements, and extracting insights for evaluation and recommendation reports.
    • Excellent stakeholder engagement abilities.
    • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with proven experience in engaging stakeholders and SMEs, and negotiating while building strong relationships with end users, key stakeholders, suppliers, and project teams.
    • Proven experience in leading workshops with both business and technical SMEs to elicit requirements that align with business needs.
    • Experience managing the full lifecycle of benefits management and realisation, including designing and developing plans for baseline, targets, post-implementation data collection, and reporting.
    • Demonstrated ability to analyze complex financial data, interpret benefits and financial reports, identify trends, and provide strategic recommendations to support business objectives and enhance financial performance.
    • Ability to clearly present complex financial data to non-technical stakeholders, facilitating decision-making and ensuring transparency across the organisation.
    • Strong problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to identifying financial challenges, developing solutions, and mitigating risks to improve financial stability.
    • Minimum of 7 years' experience required. Business Analysis certifications such as IIBA or Certified Analytics Professional (CAP) are preferred.
    • Solid understanding of Benefits Management Frameworks, such as the NSW Benefits Management Framework.
    • Extensive experience as a business analyst in both agile and waterfall methodologies for large ICT programs and projects.
    • Experience in creating instructional and procedural documentation and delivering presentations.
    • Proven ability to manage time, prioritize tasks, and maintain strong organizational skills.
