We are seeking dedicated and enthusiastic Personal Care Workers to join our team at all of our sites.
As part of our team, you will provide compassionate, person‑centred care to our residents, many of whom come from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds. Your commitment to helping older people maintain their independence, dignity, and connection to their heritage will be highly valued. A key part of this position will be working collaboratively in a dynamic ‘house’ team environment (led by our clinical and non‑clinical leaders), where courtesy and kindness underpin everything that we do.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide high‑quality personal care and support to residents in accordance with their individual care plans.Assist with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, dressing, grooming, mobility, and mealtime support.Encourage and facilitate resident participation in social and recreational activities.Communicate effectively and empathetically with residents, families, and staff demonstrating sensitivity to cultural differences and preferences.Observe and report any changes in residents’ health, wellbeing, or behaviour to clinical staff.Work within a multidisciplinary team to ensure the highest standard of care is provided at all times.Uphold residents’ rights to privacy, dignity, and choice.Support residents in maintaining their cultural traditions, language, and links to community.ABOUT YOU
Previous experience working in an aged care or personal care setting (minimum 2‑4 years required for shortlisting).Demonstrated ability to work effectively with colleagues and residents from diverse cultural backgrounds.A genuine passion for supporting older people to live well and maintain their independence.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.Formal qualifications in Aged Care, Disability, or Community Services (Certificate III or IV in Individual Support or equivalent preferred).National Police Clearance (or willingness to undertake).NDIS Clearance (or willingness to undertake – specific to our St Peters site).Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and public holidays as needed.BENEFITS
