  • An exciting position has just become available for a HR Business Partner to join us in our Sydney office.

    • As the HR Business Partner, you will provide effective and expert advice and solutions on all people issues, facilitating the optimum performance of the business.
    • Your responsibilities would include but are not limited to :
    • Ensure compliance to Legal, IR, WR, WHS legislation.
    • Manage complaints and grievances in line with values, policy and legal standards.
    • Manage non-performance, discipline and misconduct in line with values, policy and legal standards.
    • Manage redundancy and termination in line with values, policy and legal standards
    • Analyse data and advise senior stakeholders regarding return on staffing expenses and productivity.
    • Actively minimise (or, as appropriate, manage) legal risks and unplanned costs.
    • Proactively identify and manage costs associated with workplace injury, leave management, absenteeism, overpayment, fraud etc.
    • Analyse and advise on reward and remuneration practices and decisions
    • Actively assist the business to attract and retain top talent.
    • Advise and coach managers regarding organisational design and job design.
    • Advise and coach managers regarding performance and reward.
    • Contribute to and deliver desired culture and cultural change.
    • Coach and support managers to deliver performance and engagement via their own leadership behaviour, capability and practices.
    • Actively partner with management to manage poor performance and improve performance generally
    • Proactively inform, educate, equip and support managers regarding People programs, systems and policies
    • Balance (internal) customer focus with responsibility to act in the Group's best interests.
    • Provide support, advice, and information to employees; empowering and / or advocating as appropriate
    • Contribute to People policy, process and systems.
    • Enable and encourage managers and employees to 'self serve' where appropriate.
    • Actively contribute to quality and continuous improvement to ensure best practices and optimal output.
    • Provide feedback to managers, employees and Group P&C regarding adherence to policies or any improvement opportunity regarding policy effectiveness.
    • Actively communicate, promote and reinforce P&C policies, programs and benefits.
    • About you
    • To be successful in this role you will possess the following
    • HR or business-related tertiary qualification
    • Fantastic stakeholder management across all levels of a business
    • Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks
    • Proven experience in a business partnering and advisory role
    • Proven capability in performance management, misconduct, performance improvement and discipline.
    • Proficiency interpreting contracts, policies, legislation and Awards
    • Proven ability to manage communication and change
