About The Role

Join our dynamic Perth-based workshop team as a Mechanical Fitter , where you’ll be involved in the assembly, maintenance, and testing of specialised machinery and components. We're looking for skilled tradespeople who take pride in quality work and bring a strong focus on safety and continuous improvement.

What We’re Looking For

  • Trade Qualification : Certificate III in Engineering (Fitting)
  • Industry Experience : Prior work in manufacturing or special-purpose machine building is highly desirable.
  • Safety First : A proactive safety mindset and a commitment to upholding our uncompromising safety culture.
  • Team Player : Comfortable working in a multi-disciplinary team and independently when required.
  • Technical Capability : Confident in reading and interpreting GA drawings, manuals, and technical documentation.
  • Communication : Strong verbal and written communication skills.

You’ll ideally have experience with :

  • Fits and tolerances (ISO standards).
  • Precision fitting using methods such as heating, pressing, induction, or liquid nitrogen.
  • Bearings, seals (mechanical, rubber, plastic), and cleanliness practices.
  • Fasteners, threads, and torque specifications.
  • Use of compounds like Loctite, anti-seize, and lubrication products.
  • Drive systems including belts, chains, VSDs, and gearboxes.
  • Basic understanding of hydraulic and pneumatic systems (mechatronics a plus).
  • Bonus Skills :

  • SMP assembly, trial fit, and FAT (Factory Acceptance Testing).
  • Manual machining, equipment setup, and basic MIG welding.
  • Additional tickets : Forklift, Overhead Crane (pendant), EWP, Working at Heights.
