About the Role

As the Head Chef, you will lead the culinary experience across our restaurant, café and bar, ensuring every meal reflects exceptional quality, creativity and care. This role blends hands‑on cooking with strategic oversight, giving you the opportunity to shape menus, elevate dining standards and create memorable experiences for residents and guests.

You will oversee the daily operations of the kitchen, including budgeting, ordering, stock control, food safety compliance and staff leadership. Working closely with both front‑ and back‑of‑house teams, you will foster a collaborative, efficient and positive environment where great food and great service go hand in hand.

Beyond day‑to‑day operations, you will bring fresh ideas to the table—designing special events, themed dining experiences and seasonal offerings that enhance community life and set our hospitality apart.

What You Will Bring

You will thrive in this role if you are a confident, experienced chef who combines culinary skill with strong leadership and operational know‑how. You bring :

Trade qualifications or extensive relevant experience.

Deep knowledge of food safety, HACCP compliance and WHS legislation.

Proven experience managing budgets, costings and stock.

Strong organisational and planning abilities, with the capacity to manage workflows and competing priorities.

Professionalism, empathy and excellent communication skills, enabling positive interactions with residents, families and colleagues.

Creativity and passion for food, with an eye for presentation and a desire to craft engaging dining experiences.

Willingness to work additional or varied hours when required.
