Job descriptionReporting directly to the Residential Manager at Vincentian Darlinghurst & Brigidine House Randwick, you will maintain a physically safe, well maintained and secure home environment for our residents. Execute the preventative maintenance program throughout the residential aged care home Perform reactive repairs on items within the home as the need arises Manage the coordination of external maintenance contractors as required Work in a safe manner to protect yourself, your colleagues and residents closely following all policies and procedures A kind heart and genuine passion for providing high quality care to the elderly Trade certificate or Cert IV in Maintenance / Building services Strong communication skills and a positive attitude Hands-on experience with building maintenance, handyman or building services role Strong understanding of the practical application of workplace health and safety legislation Able to establish and maintain professional and appropriate relationships with residents and their families Commitment to respecting the values, customs, preferences and spiritual beliefs of residents Willingness to apply for a Police Check and NDIS clearance Competitive hourly pay rate Not-for-profit tax benefits so you pay less tax Fitness Passport discounted gym benefits Paid Parental leave Long Service leave after 5 years Additional week of leave for Enterprise Agreement shift workers 40+ Locations across NSW and QLD if you choose to move A values-based organisation that welcomes applicants from all faiths and backgrounds
