Health & Local Laws Administration Officer

Do you have first-rate administration skills, a customer-service focus and want to assist your community? Mareeba Shire Council is seeking an experienced Administration Officer to join our Health & Local Laws team to support maintaining a safe and pleasant environment for the community and visitors.

The Role :

The Health & Local Laws Administration Officer supports the Health & Local Laws team to provide customer-focused regulatory enforcement of Council’s local laws. The role assists with responding to customer enquiries, conducting investigations into concerns and promoting positive community compliance.

What we are looking for :

• You will have high-level written and verbal communication skills and the ability to communicate with a diverse range of customers.
• You will have strong administrative skills and be able to prioritise your workload and work with accuracy while under pressure.
• You will have proficient computer skills with a strong working knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite of programs.
• You will have finely honed interpersonal skills to be able to meet the demands of challenging customers.
• You will respect the need to follow procedures, guidelines and directions to ensure efficient and quality services.
