API Developer and Integration Specialist

Ignite are looking to hear from experienced API Developer and Integration Specialist for one of our government clients.

Location: Canberra
Duration: 12 months with 2x 12 months extension
Citizenship Requirements: Must be an Australian Citizen - (10-years of residency in Australia required)

Responsibilities:

• Govern client's API Management and Integration platform.
• Update design artifacts and implement proposed changes.
• Collaborate with diverse teams for testing and release.
• Drive integration across various client's systems.
• Provide expert advice and guidance to colleagues.
• Play a key role in project planning and solution design.
• Resolve problems innovatively, contribute to strategic initiatives.
• Foster teamwork, clear communication, and effective direction.
• Build and sustain relationships for impactful outcomes.

Experience Needed:

• Expertise in API Management tools (IBM API Connect, WSO2, MuleSoft).
• Proficiency in API lifecycle, authentication (OAuth2, OpenID, SAML).
• Event-driven architecture and messaging experience.
• Strong integration platform familiarity.
• Modern RESTful Web APIs (XML, JSON), Swagger/OpenAPI.
• Web services, REST API, XML, XSLT, JSON mastery.
• Enterprise Application Integration, CI/CD tools exposure.
• API development and systems integration prowess.
• Database technology understanding.
• System performance troubleshooting skills.
