We are seeking Palliative Care registrars to work at Royal Hobart Hospital.
Royal Hobart hospital is Tasmania’s largest hospital and major referral centre.
As the major clinical teaching and research centre, RHH works closely with the University of Tasmania and other institutions.

134,930 - $189,005 per annum + superannuation and access to salary packaging

Period of Employment
Fixed term, full timeday work, 76 hours per fortnight plus 10 hours protected training time (pro rata), commencing 2 February 2026 until 1 February 2027 (note 24 months negotiable).
Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time and casual vacancies.
The Registrar is responsible for the day-to-day management of private & public inpatients / outpatients and provides afterhours emergency cover at the hospital as required.
Registration / licences that are essential requirements of this role must remain current and valid at all times whilst employed in this role and the status of these may be checked at any time during employment. It is the employee’s responsibility to ensure that registration / licences remain current and to advise the Employer if their circumstances change. This includes notifying the Employer of any new criminal convictions and / or if a registration / licence is revoked, cancelled or has its conditions altered
The Head of the State Service has determined that the person nominated for this job is to satisfy a pre‑employment check before taking up the appointment, on promotion or transfer. The following checks are to be conducted :
1. Conviction checks in the following areas :
a) Crimes of Violence
b) Sex Related Offences
c) Serious Drug Offences
d) Crimes involving dishonesty
2. Identification check
3. Disciplinary action in previous employment check.
