As a Lecturer in Film you will inspire students to excel academically, enrich their learning experience, preparing them for thriving careers in their field of study.

Qualifications
Our ideal candidate can demonstrate skills and experience in the following criteria :
A postgraduate qualification, preferably at Masters level (or higher).
A high level of professional industry practice in the creative media industries, supported by an established portfolio of work.
Strong grounding in film production processes, including cinematography, directing, editing, sound, and post-production workflows, with familiarity across both traditional and digital production environments.
Ability to convey foundational and advanced film concepts effectively, guiding students through practical, hands-on exercises such as production shoots, editing projects, and short film development in alignment with industry standards.
Knowledge of story development, script analysis, and narrative structures, with familiarity in industry practices such as scriptwriting, pitching, and storyboarding.
Demonstrated experience in screenwriting or directing, including collaboration with industry partners, production scoping, and real-world project delivery.
Strong ability to teach both creative and collaborative aspects of film practice, emphasising real-world applicability and industry readiness.
Proficiency in industry-standard tools such as Final Draft, Adobe Premiere Pro, Avid Media Composer, DaVinci Resolve, or equivalent editing and production software.
Passion for assisting students to reach their full academic potential while providing an outstanding student experience.
High level of creative problem-solving and critical thinking abilities, paired with strong organisational and communication skills.
Ability to foster collaboration, reflective practice, and resilience within student cohorts to prepare them for the demands of the film and screen industries.
