Local Government | Western SuburbsContract Role | Immediate Start until Friday, 30 January 2026$60–$64 per hour + superAbout the Role

Our client, a local government authority based in the western suburbs is looking for a People Business Partner to join their People and Culture team. This is a full-time role, to start ASAP and is likely to be contracted until January 2026.

This role is ideal for a confident, hands-on HR generalist with proven capability in complex employee and industrial relations matters. You'll work closely with internal leaders and stakeholders, delivering trusted advice across areas including union matters, enterprise agreements, workplace investigations, and organisational change.

Key Responsibilities Provide expert advice and case management support across complex IR / ER mattersEngage with union representatives and manage consultative processesSupport managers with performance management, dispute resolution, and organisational changeContribute to policy and procedure review and implementationPartner with leaders across the business to support strategic people initiativesAbout You Degree in Human Resources or a related discipline, or equivalent experienceStrong industrial and employee relations experienceDemonstrated experience working with unions and managing complex casesStrong working knowledge of relevant employment legislation and enterprise agreementsIdeally experience working in a complex regulated environment, like Local Government Kindergartens / Early Childhood Education, Public Hospitals or Healthcare SectorExperience working under an EBABenefits : Flexible work arrangements – 3 days in the office & 2 days from homeWorking for a value driven and community orientated organisationIf you are interested in this role, please APPLY today.
