Associate Nurse Unit Manager

A leadership opportunity is available for a Registered Nurse with excellent interpersonal and customer service skills to step into the role of an Associate Nurse Unit Manager at a private hospital in Melbourne. ABOUT THE ROLE As an Associate Nurse Unit Manager, your responsibilities will include:

• Facilitating a learning culture to ensure continuous improvement;
• Maintaining professional and constructive working relationships with our VMO partners, using a customer service mindset, to enable high-quality patient outcomes;
• Providing clinical operational direction for the unit to ensure efficient and effective management by coordinating the delivery of nursing care that is evidence-based;
• Being accountable and responsible for the effective daily management of human, financial and material resources;
• Coordinating and driving clinical audits and quality improvement initiatives;
• Undertaking direct patient care, as required;
• Mentoring of staff.

REQUIREMENTS

• Current registration with AHPRA;
• Working with Children check (if relevant);
• Current or previous ANUM or clinical nurse specialist experience (desirable);
• Sound clinical knowledge;
• 3 years of clinical experience;
• Compliance with ACQSHC National standards;
• Exemplary interpersonal and communication skills;
• Positive role modelling behaviours;
• Excellent customer service focus, time management and prioritisation.

REMUNERATION

$51.77 and $53.51 per hour. ABOUT THE FACILITY The hospital, located in Melbourne, is a fully accredited tertiary facility with 334 beds, providing Emergency Services, Extensive Surgical Specialities, a 14-bed ICU, a 17-bed CCU, Medical, and a full range of Cardiac Services including two 24-hour Cardiac Catheter Laboratories and Victoria's only Single-Site Robotic Surgery Program. The hospital has 15 theatres, including a hybrid theatre, diagnostic cardiology, two cardiac cath labs and capabilities for cardiothoracic surgery, orthopaedics, neurosurgery, urology and more.
