The Opportunity

We are looking for a passionate HR Administrator to join our growing team! This role will be responsible for providing generalist administrative support to the HR function and to act as a first point of contact for all colleague enquiries and third-party communications. This role is full-time and will be based out of Brisbane.

The Role

Key duties in this role, include but are not limited to :

  • Provide administrative support to the HR function including preparation of employee correspondence and any other general correspondence as required, including monitoring the shared HR mailbox
  • Act as first point of contact for all employee and external queries
  • Provide first line advice in accordance with policies and procedures
  • Liaise with IT, Payroll and Operations for onboarding, offboarding and changes, including submission of Joiner, Mover, Leaver forms
  • Handle onboarding activities for new joiners including drafting of employment contracts, verification of right to work, reference and criminal history checks
  • Handle offboarding activities for leavers, including liaising with Payroll, IT and Operations as necessary
  • Monitor onboarding and exit survey feedback, escalating as necessary
  • Support the recruitment process including but not limited to the production of job descriptions and internal and external advertisements, coordination of candidates via external agencies and other platforms such as LinkedIn, initial screening of CVs and shortlisting candidates and interview coordination
  • Support the Senior HR Advisor with employee relations administration and generalist activities as required
  • Maintain integrity of Success Factors data, ensuring accurate changes and data audits
  • Administration support for annual processes such as performance and compensation reviews and statutory reporting
  • Coordination of learning and development administration
  • Regular and ad hoc data collation and reporting, including turnover and survey reporting
  • Coordination of information with payroll and other internal systems
  • Liaise with finance / IT in respect of HR and employee related information
  • Any other ad hoc activity or project as required

Experience and Qualifications

Essential :

  • Previous experience within a generalist HR environment
  • Excellent administration skills including Word, Excel, and an aptitude for systems
  • Strong attention to detail and methodical in approach
  • Ability to deal with multiple priorities and conflicting demands
  • Initiative to resolve queries and issues
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision when required
  • Embraces change and is comfortable working in a fluid environment
  • Desirable :

  • Working towards an HR qualification
  • Previous experience within a global multi-site, multi-business organisation
