APS6 Cyber Security Specialist

• Contract start 30 October 2023 to 12 months, 12 months extensions.
• Australian Citizen, Baseline Clearance (Ability to obtain NV1), Canberra, or Geelong role.

The APS 6 Cyber Security Analyst is accountable under broad direction to undertake complex work across the Cyber Security functions. The role reports to the Assistant Director, CSOC Capability Development under the leadership of the Director Cyber Security Operations.

The successful candidate will work in a small team to develop and deliver capabilities for use by the Security Operations Centre (SOC). The capabilities include process engineering, uplift tasks and collaboration on large enterprise scale cyber security solutions.

The Cyber Security Analyst will also work closely with the SOC and other ICT teams to deliver capabilities.

Duties

1. Experience with Australian Government governance concepts with a focus on ICT, policy / standards development, documentation of frameworks, and assisting in the reporting to Senior Executive.

2. Strong oral and written communication skills

3. Ability to mentor and provide expertise within a team environment and engage with internal / external stakeholders confidently.
