Civil Maintenance Manager | Project Manager

Location : Onsite, Brisbane QLD

Salary : $170K – $175K (dependent on experience)

Duration : 2-month temp to perm (permanent role intended)

Hours : 6 : 00 AM – 6 : 00 PM OR 6 : 30 AM – 3 : 30 PM (flexible if work is completed)

About the Role :

We’re seeking a Civil Maintenance Manager to Manage a Planned and Reactive Civil Maintenance team, lead a high-volume, fast-paced portfolio of civil and water infrastructure projects. This is a versatile, hands-on leadership role where you’ll manage a team of five supervisors and a project engineer, overseeing a blue-collar workforce handling civil maintenance and water leak detection works.

You will be responsible for delivering projects in a schedule of rates framework, ensuring cost control, forecasting, and subcontractor management while maintaining strong relationships with clients and internal teams.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Oversee plant and reactive civil maintenance projects, focusing on water infrastructure
  • Manage and mentor a team of supervisors and a project engineer
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to quality standards
  • Provide cost reporting, cost forecasting, and subcontractor management
  • Work closely with clients to maintain strong relationships and effective collaboration
  • Ensure adherence to safety, compliance, and operational procedures
  • Utilize Microsoft Suite and in-house work order management systems (SAP experience beneficial but not required)

Skills & Experience :

  • Experience in civil plant maintenance and the water industry essential
  • Strong background in project management, cost control, and scheduling
  • Project Management Experience
  • Proven ability to manage high-volume, short-programmed projects
  • Familiarity with schedule of rates work
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team and with clients
  • Experience leading blue-collar workforces in a field-based environment
