About the Company

A growing international technology firm is recruiting for an experienced People & Culture Business Partner. Based in their Canberra office, this role works closely with the wider HR team locally and internationally. The key stakeholders are largely based in Canberra and the role will be working closely with the MD for a key business unit.

About the Role

This a broad role providing guidance and coaching on everything from ER, to OD and employee experience. Building strong relationships with stakeholders will be crucial in developing and influencing people related initiatives and activities closely aligned to short and long term priorities. The main responsibilities include :

  • Being the trusted advisor to the client group on all HR related matters
  • Identifying and facilitating ER & IR issues
  • Managing and overseeing HR related compliance and regulatory changes
  • Contributing and / or leading on various change and OD initiatives collaborating across HR and the business effectively
  • Using data and analytics to inform HR strategies, workforce planning and talent management.
  • Champion employee engagement activities
  • Understand business challenges and industry trends to provide creative and relevant solutions around things like talent and employee engagement.

About You

This is a great opportunity for a confident and commercial HRBP who is comfortable working in a quasi stand-alone capacity with senior stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have :

  • Previous experience ideally in Automotive, Technology or Engineering sectors
  • Experience of both operational and strategic HR
  • Strong consulting, analytical and problem solving skills
  • Proven ability to influence and build relationships
  • Expert knowledge of Australian Employment law
  • Self-motivated, proactive and comfortable working with limited direction
  • This a permanent role paying $150,000 to $160,000 + super depending on experience. Starting ASAP. The role is hybrid with an expectation to be in the office 3 (and sometimes 4) days a week.
