Network and Communications Administrator

About the Role
The Network & Communications Administrator will implement and maintain a highly available and secure ICT network and communications infrastructure to meet the operational needs of Council. The role ensures Council's ICT users have access to systems and information, identifies potential improvements to network services by investigating and leveraging modern network design and technology changes. Additionally, the Administrator supports and maintains AV technology across meeting rooms, collaboration spaces and event venues, including deployment, configuration, and integration of video, voice and presentation systems. The role also implements and manages technical systems to mitigate security threats to Council's ICT network, systems and data, and manages risks associated with virus attacks & intrusion detection.
About You
We are looking for a candidate with degree level qualifications in Information Technology or an equivalent combination of industry experience and / or education / training. Ideally you will possess a current Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) certification. You should have demonstrated experience in all applications of information, communication and technology network infrastructure and experience in supporting, configuring, and maintaining enterprise Audio Visual (AV) systems across organisational spaces. Strong communication and influence skills across a variety of situations, individuals, and groups, and a commitment to team and organisational goals are essential.
