The Opportunity :

This is a Talent Pool for Senior Environmental Officers for Botanists and Zoologists in the Terrestrial Ecosystems branch.

The role undertakes specialist technical reviews of fauna, flora and vegetation-related scientific reports, development proposals and management plans referred to the Environmental Protection Authority (EPA) and the department to support environmental impact assessment, environmental regulation, and investigations of environmental compliance.

The role also provides specialist technical advice and makes recommendations to internal and external stakeholders on matters relating to the management and protection of fauna, flora and vegetation. In addition, it develops and implements policies and strategic advice relevant to fauna, flora and vegetation based on sound scientific evidence.
