Georges River Council has an excellent opportunity to contribute to the sustainable management of urban trees in a growing city our local environment.
Are you passionate about urban trees and their role in creating vibrant, sustainable communities?
As a Tree Management Officer at Georges River Council, you’ll play a vital role in the planning, assessment, and care of our urban forest. From evaluating private tree permit applications to responding to community service requests, you’ll be the go-to expert for all things arboriculture.
In this dynamic role, you’ll conduct tree risk assessments, investigate incidents involving public trees, and contribute to the development of proactive planting and maintenance programs. You’ll also maintain Council’s tree asset inventory, ensure compliance with relevant legislation, and provide expert advice to both internal teams and the public. Working closely with the Tree Maintenance team, you’ll help deliver high-quality arboricultural services that align with Council’s Tree Management Policy and industry best practices.
