About the role

We are seeking a talented and motivated BDM to join our team.

You will be responsible for driving the growth of the mortgage broker channel across the LongView business, including increasing referrals for our Home Equity products (HomeFlex & Buying Boost), Property Management, Buyers Advocacy and Funds Management. You will be responsible for on-boarding new brokers, maintaining excellent relationships with our current brokers, and ensuring they are trained on our products and services. You will be working towards achieving your sales targets but will still have an opportunity to help shape our various product and service offerings.

What you'll do

  • Grow the Broker Channel and maintain broker relationships to ensure a strong and cooperative relationship.
  • Maintain contact with brokers to keep them updated on the Buying Boost & HomeFlex products.
  • Drive referrals to Property Management (New properties for management).
  • Drive referrals to Advocacy for new clients (Buyer & Vendor Advocacy).
  • Organise training programs for brokers to improve their knowledge of the Buying Boost & HomeFlex products.
  • Assist in addressing broker complaints and resolving issues or challenges.
  • Monitor sales results from assigned brokers.
  • Complete analysis to identify opportunities for business growth and improving sales.
  • Administer Hubspot, including inputting & updating client and partner details, notes, property particulars, new emails, reply email notes, uploading docs, etc.
  • Prepare & present to clients / partners.
  • Refer business to other service lines, where appropriate.

Experience / Qualifications

  • Strong lending industry knowledge.
  • Previous experience with the financial broker sector in a similar role or level.
  • Proven experience in achieving sales targets.
  • Knowledge of banking products and industry trends and experience in business planning.
  • Demonstrated experience in presentations.
  • Proven experience in developing and maintaining business relationships.
  • Effective time management and the ability to prioritise.
  • Ability to deliver results and develop rapport with brokers.
  • Current knowledge of the Consumer Credit Code, Privacy Act, and other relevant financial sector legislation.
