About the Role

The position is primarily based at Nepean Hospital campus, involving consultation and liaison to the hospital and associated outpatient clinics. The successful candidate will work with the CL team to improve collaboration between mental health and other hospital services. They will contribute to team expertise across a range of therapeutic modalities, participate in key clinical decisions, and may develop leadership skills. Successful applicants will also participate in a district‑wide after‑hours roster.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialist mental health assessment, management and liaison services in a hospital setting.
• Consult with other medical, nursing and allied health staff on complex cases.
• Participate in interdisciplinary clinical meetings and contribute to service improvement initiatives.
• Support teaching and supervision of junior clinicians, staff and students.
• Participate in quality improvement and clinical governance activities.
• Prepare high‑quality documentation and use relevant electronic health record systems.
• Engage with patients, families and community services in a person‑centred, recovery‑oriented manner.

Selection Criteria (Minimum Requirements)

Additional Requirements

Requires a Working with Children Check (WWCC). Candidates must also obtain required vaccinations prior to commencement.
