Are you an experienced Internal Auditor with a background in Federal Government engagements? Do you hold Baseline Security Clearance (or are eligible to obtain it)? Join a top 10 national firm in their rapidly growing Canberra office and be part of building something new and exciting.

The Opportunity A national accounting and advisory firm is expanding its Canberra footprint and is looking for an Internal Auditor to join its newly established team. With a strong pipeline of Federal Government contracts , this is a rare chance to step into a pivotal role during a phase of strategic growth.

Currently led by 1 Partner and 1 Principal, the Internal Audit team is set to grow significantly over the next 3–6 months. You’ll be hands-on in shaping the culture, processes, and success of the department — with clear opportunities for progression.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver internal audit services for Federal Government clients
  • Assist with business development and client relationship management
  • Collaborate with NSW offices and other service lines (Tax, Audit & Business Advisory)

Requirements

  • Proven internal audit experience within Federal Government
  • Baseline Security Clearance (or ability to obtain it) is essential
  • CA / CPA qualified (or working towards)
  • Strong communication, stakeholder management, and analytical skills
  • Driven, positive attitude with a long-term mindset
