Job Overview

We are hiring a full‑time, permanent teacher for the new Aspect Hills Shire School in Gables (Box Hill), NSW, beginning Term 1, 2026. Base salary ranges from $90,100 to $127,281, plus a special education allowance of $3,699 p.a. (pro‑rata for part‑time). The role offers a dynamic, multidisciplinary environment and competitive professional development opportunities.

What You Will Do

  • Plan, implement, and assess instructional programmes tailored to the individual needs of students on the autism spectrum.
  • Collaborate with a teaching aide, school psychologist, speech and occupational therapists, and families to deliver wrap‑around support.
  • Create inclusive, evidence‑based learning experiences in small class sizes.
  • Participate in ongoing professional learning and data‑driven reflection to inform practice.

Qualifications

  • NESA registration to teach in NSW.
  • Special education qualifications are preferred.
  • Experience supporting students on the autism spectrum or with intellectual disability.
  • NSW Working with Children Check clearance.
  • Current driver’s licence (essential for some school locations); an LR licence is desirable.
  • May be required to provide an international police clearance.

    Aspect Hills Shire School opened Term 1 2025, located in the vibrant Gables suburb. The campus serves 72 students on the autism spectrum from Kindergarten to Year 6.
