About the Role

As a Support Worker, you will provide person-centred support to individuals with disability, both in their homes and within the community. Your role is integral to helping clients achieve their NDIS goals and live fulfilling, independent lives.

This position requires flexibility to work various shifts, including early morning shifts and weekends based in Yeppoon with option to take on extra shifts based in Rockhampton Community Service.

Key responsibilities include :

  • Assisting with daily living activities such as personal care, domestic tasks, and meal preparation.
  • Supporting skill development in areas such as budgeting, social interaction, and self-care.
  • Facilitating community participation through social outings, taking them to appointments.
  • Promoting and maintaining strong relationships with family, friends, and service providers.
  • Delivering compassionate, respectful, and tailored support aligned with individual needs.

  • A genuine passion for supporting people with disability.
  • The ability to work autonomously and within a team environment.
  • Physical capacity to perform manual handling tasks.
  • A strong commitment to confidentiality and respectful care.
  • Certificate III in Individual Support (Disability) – highly regarded.
  • Experience supporting individuals with complex behaviours or dementia – desirable but not essential.
  • Pre-Employment Requirements

  • National Criminal History Check (Fit2Work)
  • Working with Children Check (Blue Card)
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check (Yellow Card)
  • Current First Aid and CPR certification
