Maintenance Fitter

Job Description

Our client is seeking an experienced Maintenance Fitter to join their team, based in Kilsyth. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out maintenance and repair work on machinery and equipment in a maintenance manufacturing plant. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, good interpersonal skills, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities :

• Maintain a safe and tidy work environment
• Exercise good interpersonal skills
• Carry out a Preventative Maintenance program.
• Perform engineering project tasks as directed.
• Respond in a timely manner to machinery / plant breakdowns.
• Prioritise jobs in consultation with plant / production managers.
• Competency to work from engineering drawings
• Perform welding duties (Arc, Mig, Tig, and Oxy)
• Confined space permit desirable
• EWP & Forklift Ticket
