Job description

Program Coordinator | 12 Month Max Term

Slater and Gordon Lawyers are a leading personal injury and class actions law firm where every member of our team has a shared passion for our clients : we are people caring for people.

Our commitment to our people includes offering genuine work-life balance, with a hybrid work environment allowing them to split their time between home and the office. We recognise and reward high performance and have outstanding employee benefits including a week of shutdown leave, paid parental leave, extra-long service leave, together with various ongoing learning and professional development opportunities.

About the Role

Help shape the success of a major transformation program that blends traditional project structure with modern Agile ways of working.

As Program Coordinator, you’ll support the delivery of a hybrid program that combines long-term milestones with iterative Agile delivery. You’ll maintain program plans, track progress, and ensure effective communication between teams. From managing Jira and Kanban boards to preparing reports and supporting governance forums, you’ll be the go-to person who keeps everything connected and on track

What you'll do?

  • Coordinate program activities across Agile and Waterfall streams to ensure alignment with key milestones and outcomes.
  • Maintain and update integrated program plans, schedules, and RAID logs (risks, actions, issues, decisions).
  • Support program governance – including steering committee preparation, stage-gate reviews, and Agile ceremonies.
  • Manage and maintain Jira, Wrike, and Kanban boards – ensuring clear visibility of priorities, dependencies, and progress.
  • Generate dashboards and reports to provide insights on delivery health and program performance.

What will you bring?

You’ll have experience coordinating projects or programs that use both Waterfall and Agile methodologies, along with hands-on knowledge of Jira, Wrike, and Kanban boards. You’re highly organised, able to juggle multiple priorities, and have strong planning skills that keep delivery on track. You communicate clearly and confidently with stakeholders at all levels and build positive relationships with ease. You take pride in your attention to detail and accuracy, and you’re proactive in identifying risks or dependencies before they become issues. A tertiary qualification or project management certification would be advantageous, but what matters most is your initiative, collaboration, and ability to make things happen.
