General Medical Pharmacist - Lismore role at Northern NSW Local Health District.

This vacancy is maternity leave relief for an initial period up to December 2026 for up to 36 hours per week; hours and period of employment may change according to the maternity leave requirements. There is also the possibility of an extension at same / reduced hours.

About the Role

Lismore Base Hospital Pharmacy is seeking a General Medical Pharmacist to join the team.

In this role, you will provide a comprehensive clinical and pharmaceutical service within the specialist medical areas of the Pharmacy Department.

You will take responsibility for the operational oversight of pharmacy services across general medical wards, outpatient clinics, and outpatient group education programs. The position encompasses managerial, clinical, and dispensary duties.

As part of a multidisciplinary team, you will contribute to the training and development of pharmacy staff, review and update clinical protocols and policies, and ensure compliance with legislative and safety standards. A strong focus on quality and safe medication management is essential.

You will also work closely with senior pharmacists and the Director of Pharmacy to support the delivery of safe, cost-effective, and patient-centred medication management that promotes optimal health outcomes.
