  • About the Company

A tier 1 infrastructure business with over 70 years proven success in Australia. With a national presence and the ability to deliver major infrastructure projects across roads, rail, resources, SMP, NPI & bulk earthworks.

They are currently looking for a Commercial Manager to join the business and work within their resources team on a range of SMP, E&I & civil projects for mining and oil & gas clients. The projects involve heavy SMP work, they will be predominantly self-performed and are in excess of $300M. This will be a Perth based position with monthly site visits and you would be managing a team of approximately 10.

  • Key Requirements
  • Tertiary qualifications in Quantity Surveying, Engineering or Construction Management. (Preference is a QS background)
  • Proven experience working as a Commercial Manager for a contractor, on resources projects in excess of $200M+
  • Excellent leadership & communication skills.
  • Proven experience working on self-performed contracts. Ability to manage, cost and report on labour, materials, plant, equipment and overheads.
  • Strong financial management skills and the ability to implement strategies to reduce risk and maximise profitability.
  • Local experience and key relationships with the local supply chain.
  • Ability to prepare, analyse and present high level financial reports (forecasting, cash flow, project profitability, cost to complete etc)
  • Experience with claims and dispute resolution.
