Overview

The Sr. Marketing Specialist, APAC supports the global marketing team by leading in-country activities across Australia and APAC. The role aims to increase brand awareness through executing marketing programs that support revenue-generating campaigns for key verticals and countries. Success depends on effective workload management, communication, collaboration, and supporting both APAC and global teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop integrated country-specific marketing plans aligned with regional revenue targets.
  • Manage and optimize APAC marketing programs, measuring ROI and reporting on effectiveness.
  • Oversee all aspects of hosted and sponsored events in APAC, including pre-, during-, and post-event activities.
  • Create thought leadership strategies to drive local brand awareness and support business messaging.
  • Manage content for Rakuten Advertising’s blog and social media in collaboration with the global marketing team.
  • Coordinate with Product Marketing for go-to-market strategies and product launches, including internal and external communications.
  • Support translations and ensure content quality aligns with brand standards.
  • Provide regular reports and campaign performance updates to stakeholders.

Minimum Requirements

  • High-quality communication, collaboration, and relationship-building skills in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of B2B marketing best practices and multi-channel execution.
  • Ability to produce engaging content tailored to audiences and mediums.
  • Experience in budget management, ROI analysis, and stakeholder reporting.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and multitask.
  • Results-oriented with a creative, solutions-focused approach.
  • Adaptability and a positive attitude under pressure.
  • Qualifications

  • 1-3 years in multi-channel marketing within B2B tech, SaaS, or digital marketing, focusing on ecommerce.
  • Proficient in English reading, writing, and content creation.
  • Second language (Chinese, Korean, Malay) is a plus.
  • Understanding of online marketing and retail trends in APAC.
  • Experience with marketing platforms and project management tools (preferred but not required) : HubSpot, Salesforce, Canva, Monday, Jira.
