The Opportunity

The role will provide support for all aspects of the Group’s financial and statutory accounting, including month end financial reporting, consolidated statutory reporting, financial control, and process improvement.

In performing this role, the Financial Accountant will play a key part in ensuring the accuracy, integrity and timeliness of the Group’s financial data and reporting. To deliver on the above, you will work closely with other areas within the finance function and the broader business at large.This role will Business Partner with operations to improve business performance and financial literacy.

About The Role

You will be a critical member of the finance team. Focussing on :

• Provision of timely and accurate monthly financial statements and reports for inclusion in Board reports.
• Assume responsibility for monthly financial accounting tasks and processes, including general ledger and sub-ledger maintenance, complex accrual calculations and reconciliations.
• Ensure all transactions are processed accurately and in a timely manner in accordance with internal timetables.
• Ensure all necessary work papers and balance sheet reconciliations are completed in a professional and comprehensive manner to facilitate review and audit requirements.
• Provide detailed analysis of operational and financial results including identifying variances from projected results and prepare explanations.
• Thoroughly review expenditure to ensure correct classification of transactions and accurate monthly accruals.
• Fixed asset accounting, including fixed asset registers (FAR), including monthly reconciliation of the FARs to the General Ledger (book and tax) and capitalisation and depreciation of assets.
• Finance Business Partnering with the business to support them in making prudent financial decisions and be a point of contact for the business for financial information
