About The Role
To provide exceptional customer service and comprehensive Maintenance services to the client and the contract.
In order to be successful in the role it is key that the Lead Engineer understands procedures, processes and operates them to the required standards
What You’ll Do

Operational
Provision of all-round engineering support in maintaining the Operational AssetsResponsible for ensuring that all Engineering Operational activities within the buildings are controlled and that they are being carried out with due regard to Health and Safety, business risk and maintaining the 100% uptime criteriaAppointed as an HV authorised person for the sites you will champion technical operations compliance at all timesResponsible for maintaining excellent standards of response to Asset performance, completion of assigned work and ensure any abnormal operating conditions and housekeeping issues are dealt with proficientlyDeliver effective business communication through advice, review, leadership and direct contribution to management and team meetings, briefings, consultation forums, correspondence, publicity, monthly and ad-hoc reporting and other publications, as appropriateEnsure that effective and efficient systems are in place to : Plan the work ahead, manage the work daily on the ground, communicate the issues around the work to the key stakeholders and measure our performance at completing work on time and the performance of our staffEffectively lead management related activities including regular management meetings; development of operational procedures; fostering of good relationships, providing services of the highest standardsBe a point of contact during significant events or multi-discipline technical escalations occurring within the specified sitesAs necessary, participate in any business continuity plans the team may be involved inEnsure data centre operations and CBRE business policies and processes are complied with at your sites i.e. effectively communicated, implemented and adhered to within the contractSupervise and manage the technical on-site team members to ensure exceptional performance is being achieved. The Lead Engineer is responsible for setting performance goals for the team, as well as responsible for the development, coaching, and counselling of the team membersEnsure optimum staffing structures operate across contracts efficiently and ensure structures support peaks and troughs in workload, and disaster recoveryEnsure post holders are fully competent, and that effective succession planning arrangements are in place, monitoring staff retention rates and ensuring staff training & development plans are produced and implementedEnsure all absence is fully covered by suitably trained and experienced staff to ensure full 24 / 7 coverageResponsible to coordinate work permits and to escalate where necessary approval of permits that can affect the business-critical systems.Closely monitor the Risk Assessments and Supplier activities on the campus and ensure they follow current H&S legalisationEnsure appropriate control systems are in place to ensure statutory, policy and contractual commitments are metEnsure a customer focus within all areas of operational activities, and that effective relationships are maintained with key client contacts. Ensuring contractually agreed SLA’s and KPI’s within the Scope of Works (SOW) are met and necessary record retention demonstrating adherenceManage contractors / suppliers to insure maintenance, repairs, and operations are to a high standard and in line with maintenance agreements / SLAsHold regular designated vendor management meetingsFollow designated agenda and meeting template in vendor meetingsDevelop, implement and audit local Method of Procedures (MOP’s), Standard Operating, Procedures (SOP’s), Emergency Operating Procedures (EOP’s)Promote and maintaining the core Values of CBRE and ensure the professional image of CBRE is presented onsite all timesManage other tasks as directed by the clientEscalate relevant matters to superiors as soon as practically possibleItems are actioned in a timely manner, Non-Conformances are issued where relevant and close management of vendors is appliedSupporting CMMS Operator in scheduling, closing off PPM’s and entering reactive works to the planned preventative maintenance system will also be part of the positionProvide relief to the Critical Facilities Manager during their absencePeopleProvision of leadership and guidance, advice, coaching and direct support, where required to deliver best practice selection, training, assessment, recognition / reward and appraisal systemsCreate a learning environment on the site by providing the appropriate training and development planning for each member of CBRE staff. Essential
Managerial experience at Facility Manager or Contract Manager within a critical environmentMust understand all the associated safety code related requirements relative to providing the service. Experience with Health & Safety Risk Assessments and Control MeasuresExperience of maintaining critical & temperature control conditioned environmentsDetailed understanding and experience of the electrical and mechanical systems used in a data center environment, including : Feeders, Transformers, Generators, Fuel Systems, Switchgear, UPS systems, Battery banks, ATS / STS units, PDU / PMM units, Air handling units, chilled water systems, Fire Alarm systems, and Fire Suppression systems (pre-action sprinklers).Prior experience of managing large scale outsourced contractsPrior operations management experience including team management, work scheduling, and performance reviewsPrior exposure to maintenance scheduling and subcontractor management and supervisionStrong understanding of ticketing or workflow management systems and toolsExperience of managing escalation and emergency issuesExperience in vendor management, ability to manage and monitor progress to ensure objectives are achieved for outsourced support and projectsFamiliarity with ISO / FISMA audit processes and documentationPractical experience must include recruitment and line management / supervisory experience.Unless otherwise advised, CBRE data centre sites require Australian Citizenship and on request from our customers participating in a government clearance process and holding a government clearance up to NV1 is required#J-18808-Ljbffr
