About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join a well-established contractor recognised for delivering end-to-end civil and electrical infrastructure across South East Queensland. As a Leading Hand , you’ll be a key part of the delivery team, working closely with Site Supervisors and Project Managers to lead daily site operations. You’ll oversee and motivate a crew of civil and electrical workers to deliver underground services, lighting, trenching, and conduit installation to scope, quality, and safety standards.

This role is ideal for an experienced civil or electrical professional looking to take the next step into site leadership — with genuine long-term progression into Supervisor or Foreman roles within a company that invests heavily in its people.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead daily site operations for civil and electrical infrastructure projects
• Supervise crews and subcontractors, ensuring works are completed safely and efficiently
• Interpret drawings, plans, and job specifications for accurate site delivery
• Coordinate machinery, materials, and equipment to meet project deadlines
• Conduct daily pre-starts, toolbox talks, and quality / safety documentation
• Liaise with project teams, engineers, and clients to maintain smooth site communication
• Drive a strong safety culture and mentor team members on best practice

What You’ll Bring

• 4+ years’ experience in civil or electrical infrastructure projects
• Experience with underground services, conduit, or lighting installation
• White Card and current driver’s licence (additional tickets ideal)
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Commitment to safety and teamwork on-site

Salary & Benefits
