Key responsibilities

• Examine patients and take medical histories
• Diagnose illnesses, injuries, and medical conditions
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests and laboratory results
• Prescribe medications and treatments
• Perform minor surgical procedures and medical interventions
• Provide emergency and urgent medical care
• Monitor patient progress and treatment outcomes
• Refer patients to medical specialists when required
• Administer vaccinations and immunizations
• Conduct health screenings and preventive care assessments
• Counsel patients on health, lifestyle, and disease prevention
• Maintain accurate patient medical records
• Complete medical certificates and statutory reports
