Salary : $160,000 - $170,000 + super

Location : Sydney or Gold Coast, Surfers Paradise

Work Type : Permanent Full-Time

Hybrid : 3 days office / 2 days from home

This role offers the chance to work on large-scale, enterprise-level initiatives, delivering high-quality, scalable solutions across secured and unsecured lending channels. You’ll operate within an Agile environment, collaborating with architects, solution designers, and cross-functional delivery teams to deliver innovative and efficient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the analysis, design, and delivery of fit-for-purpose technology solutions for lending and origination systems.
  • Conduct impact assessments, evaluate technical design options, and manage related risks.
  • Collaborate closely with architecture, infrastructure, and operations teams to ensure seamless integration.
  • Mentor and guide junior engineers, providing technical leadership across projects.
  • Review and document solution designs and contribute to engineering standards.
  • Drive continuous improvement through automation, CI / CD, and performance tuning.

Key Skills & Experience

  • Extensive experience with Oracle Banking Platform (OBP) — including modules such as Loan Management, Customer Onboarding, Collateral Management, and Payments.
  • Proven background in Lending, Loan Originations, and Digital Origination solutions within complex enterprise environments.
  • Hands-on technical expertise in :
  • Java / J2EE, Oracle BPM, Oracle Service Bus (OSB), OBP Host, REST APIs, Microservices, and Kafka.
  • Oracle WebLogic Server, Apache Tomcat, and Oracle 12c or higher databases.
  • Integration design using SOAP, REST, WSDL, XML, JSON / YAML.
  • Strong understanding of system architecture, performance tuning, and application optimisation within the banking domain.
  • Proficient in version control (Bitbucket), CI / CD (Jenkins), and Agile tooling (Jira, Confluence).
  • Skilled in root cause analysis using tools such as Splunk, AppDynamics, and SQL Developer.
  • Exceptional communication skills and the ability to engage with stakeholders across technical and business teams.
  • Desirable

  • Exposure to Oracle Data Integrator (ODI) and Documaker.
  • Familiarity with Oracle ADF, SOA, and API frameworks for integration / customisation.
  • Experience in Core Banking implementations or migration programs.
  • Tertiary qualifications in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline
  • Must be an Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident.
