Headquartered in Perth, we also have team members across Melbourne, Sydney, and Brisbane. While the role is remote (for non‑Perth based employees), you’ll have opportunities to attend industry events, conferences, and meet colleagues locally. The Opportunity

We are seeking a motivated Business Development Manager to join our sales and marketing team. You will focus on generating new leads, converting opportunities into customers, and helping drive our next phase of growth. Work with a product that is genuinely loved by customers and make a tangible impact in a high‑performing, supportive environment. Responsibilities

  • Own full sales cycles : identify opportunities, nurture leads, and close deals.
  • Conduct sales calls, trial workshops, and presentations to prospective clients.
  • Manage inbound leads and generate approximately 30% or more of your own pipeline.
  • Build and maintain relationships with referral partners and complementary service providers.
  • Identify new growth channels and initiatives.
  • Attend networking and industry events to expand your reach.

About You

  • Deep understanding of the financial planning industry, ideally with experience working in a practice, whether as a financial adviser, practice manager, paraplanner, or similar.
  • Proven ability to generate pipeline, consistently meet or exceed quota, and close deals.
  • Comfortable working to quarterly sales targets and motivated by measurable goals.
  • Passionate about selling and creating real value for clients.
  • Confidently present a specialised, technical product and effectively communicate its value.
  • Willing to understand and handle objections professionally.
  • Experience in financial planning software or technology is a plus; understanding the advice delivery process is an advantage.
  • Self‑motivated and able to work independently while engaging with senior stakeholders.
  • Excellent communicator with strong presentation skills and the ability to influence decision‑makers.
  • Willingness to travel interstate for events and client meetings (moderate travel).
