Steritech is seeking a skilled and proactive Maintenance Technician to join our Mickleham team. This hands‑on role is vital to keeping our plant and equipment running smoothly, combining practical mechanical skills with strong administrative and computer literacy to plan, record, and optimise maintenance activities.

Position Overview

In this role, you’ll play a critical part in maintaining the reliability, safety, and efficiency of our plant, equipment, and site infrastructure. If you’re technically minded, proactive, and thrive in a fast‑paced, regulated environment – we want to hear from you.

As a Maintenance Technician, you will be the primary contact for all breakdown and maintenance tasks, ensuring equipment is kept in optimal working condition to support smooth and safe operations. You’ll also contribute to preventive maintenance, after‑hours support, contractor management, and continuous improvement initiatives.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Lead and perform day‑to‑day maintenance tasks on plant, site, and equipment
• Respond to breakdowns and participate in the after‑hours call‑out roster
• Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues
• Maintain, source, and procure spare parts and tools as needed
• Schedule and plan maintenance works with operational teams to minimise downtime
• Monitor and improve preventive maintenance programs
• Support inspections, compliance, and facilities maintenance
• Train team members in basic maintenance tasks and promote internal capability
• Uphold safety, quality, and regulatory standards at all times
