The Commercial Branch within the Virginia, Workforce and Commercial Division is seeking talented and experienced commercial, procurement, and contracting leaders at the EL 1 level.
Duties may include :
- Accountable for providing guidance and support to procurement planning, tendering, contract formation, and contract management activities while ensuring compliance with legislation, procurement policies, processes, and procedures.
- Review complex to very complex contracting correspondence in relation to commercially sensitive reports, submissions, contract change proposals, and other documents as required.
- Accountable for managing and leading a team, including providing clear and consistent communication, setting clear performance and behavioral standards, managing performance, delegating responsibility, and guiding and developing people.
This role is eligible for an additional remuneration benefit known in ASA as a Building Capability Payment (BCP). This enables ASA to provide a premium, in addition to the base salary otherwise payable under the ASA Enterprise Agreement, for positions in occupational disciplines / classifications that are critical to ASA capability.

ASA Commercial Branch is responsible for the procurement and contracting function for ASA and provides a wide range of commercial services to the Agency :
Support from beginning to end of a procurement activity i.e. from the date the business area identifies a need all the way through to the date of contract execution and any follow-up advice and support through contract management;Provide guidance, assurance, and advice to business areas for all procurement-related matters, including procurement policies and methods;Provide guidance with contract management activities;Provide support and advice pertaining to probity matters, management, requirements, and activities;Engage and liaise with specialized services where required e.g. Defence Legal.Our Ideal Candidate
