Communications Officer

Communications Contract Opportunity
Contract Length: 2+ months (with strong potential for extension)
Location: Coastal NSW (Regional council)

Public Sector People are partnering with a regional council in NSW to recruit an experienced Communications professional for a short-term contract opportunity. We are looking for a confident and capable communicator who can step into a fast paced environment and deliver high impact communications from day one.

The Opportunity

In this role, you will be responsible for:

• Managing and delivering a broad range of strategic communications campaigns end-to-end
• Developing clear, engaging and audience-focused messaging across multiple channels
• Working closely with internal stakeholders to provide trusted communications advice
• Supporting high-profile and time-sensitive initiatives in a dynamic environment
• Ensuring communications align with organisational values, priorities and community expectations

Do you have

• Proven experience managing strategic communications campaigns from concept to delivery
• Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management skills
• The ability to work effectively in a fast paced, high profile environment
• Experience within local government, state government, or a large corporate organisation (essential)
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with a proactive and adaptable approach
