YOUR ROLE As a KEY professional in their ICT / electrical engineering team (being mentored by and working alongside 1st-Class patent attorneys), you will relish the challenge+ satisfaction of applying your technical expertise+ commercial acumen in advising / creating strategies to protect+ enforce the patent rights of your blue-chip local / international clients.
Key responsibilities include : drafting / prosecuting applications, portfolio management, opposition / opinion work and liaising with commercial advisors / lawyers.

WHO YOU ARE We are interested in hearing from you if you : have a minimum of 12 months' post-qualification experience [up to senior level] as a registered Australian / NZ patent attorney [or are an overseas qualified patent attorney currently nearing qualification in Australia / NZ]; have a degree or higher qualifications in ENGINEERING (electrical, mechanical, computer), Information, Communications Technology (ICT) or similar; has solid hands-on experience in prosecuting / drafting engineering / ICT / electrical patents; have strong technical, analytical + communication / people skills + strong commercial acumen; are hungry +committed to furthering your own SUCCESS to the MAX with a highly dedicated supportive employer; are willing and able to relocate long-term / permanently to Melbourne.
