Childcare Early Childhood Teacher | Fernvale

Journey Early Learning is seeking a passionate Early Childhood Teacher to join our Fernvale team. In this full‑time role, you’ll create engaging programmes that inspire children and support their holistic growth and development.

Nestled in the heart of a welcoming rural town, our purpose‑built, light‑filled centre combines modern early education with small‑town warmth. Our educators deliver personalised programmes that celebrate each child’s uniqueness, in a space where families feel at home and children thrive.

About the Role

In this role, you will lead the development of an inclusive, stimulating learning environment that supports each child’s holistic development. You will guide your team in planning and delivering play‑based programmes and foster positive relationships with children, families, and the community.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain the highest standards of health and safety.
  • Design, develop, and implement high‑quality, engaging educational programmes.
  • Facilitate play‑based learning environments responsive to children’s interests, strengths, and abilities.
  • Observe, document, and reflect on children’s progress and development.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with children, families, and the wider community.
  • Participate in community projects and initiatives.
  • Contribute to a collaborative and interactive teaching environment.

About you

You are a passionate and experienced Early Childhood Teacher, bringing warmth, creativity, and confidence to your practice. Skilled in leading pedagogy and delivering engaging, age‑appropriate programmes, you build strong, respectful relationships with children, families, and colleagues.

Key Skills & Requirements

  • ACECQA‑approved Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Graduate Diploma in Early Childhood Education
  • Current Working with Children Check
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Knowledge and experience with the Early Years Learning Framework and National Quality Standards
  • Competent in using technology for documentation and communication
  • Current First Aid, Asthma, and Anaphylaxis certifications
