Hire Resolve is assisting mining organisations in hiring experienced mining professionals across Australia.
This is a multi-role opportunity spanning several functions within the sector, including mine operations, technical services, mineral processing, maintenance and reliability, projects, and health, safety and environment (HSE / WHS) leadership.
These positions suit mid- to senior-level professionals and provide a clear pathway toward superintendent, manager, and senior site or regional leadership roles.
Key Responsibilities Lead or support safe, efficient mining and processing operations across surface and / or underground environments Strengthen WHS compliance and site safety systems, including risk assessments, safe work method statements, incident prevention, and audit readiness (requirements vary by state / territory) Drive operational performance through production planning, KPI management, cost control, and continuous improvement initiatives Provide technical input to mine planning and scheduling, drill-and-blast performance, geotechnical / ground control, and ventilation strategies (as applicable) Optimise processing plant performance (throughput, recovery, product quality) through troubleshooting and improvement projects (where applicable) Oversee maintenance and reliability strategies for mobile and fixed plant assets, including shutdown planning and asset performance improvement Manage contractors and service providers to ensure safe execution, quality delivery, and adherence to scope, schedule, and budget Support project execution and operational readiness activities, including commissioning support and change management Develop teams through coaching, competency development, and structured performance management Prepare clear reporting for operational leadership, governance, and stakeholder decision-making Requirements Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering, Geology / Geoscience, Mechanical / Electrical Engineering, Metallurgy / Mineral Processing, HSE / WHS, or a related discipline (or equivalent industry experience for certain operations / maintenance leadership roles) Typically 5–12+ years of progressive experience in mining, minerals processing, quarrying / aggregates, or comparable heavy industrial environments Demonstrated WHS capability, including practical risk management, incident investigation, and contractor safety control (noting mining WHS frameworks and regulators differ across jurisdictions) Experience in one or more of the following : operations leadership, technical services, mine planning / scheduling, processing optimisation, maintenance / reliability, projects, or HSE / WHS management systems Familiarity with common tools and systems such as CMMS / EAM (e.g., SAP, Maximo), planning / scheduling software, condition monitoring tools, and Microsoft Office (Excel; Power BI advantageous) Strong communication and stakeholder management skills in site-based environments Ability to work on-site and in field conditions; flexibility for FIFO / DIDO, rostered shifts, and travel depending on site requirements Benefits Extra Superannuation - Pension plan Unpaid Extended Leave Training Development
