About the Role
We have an exciting opportunity for an Internal Communications Manager to play a senior role in planning, developing, and delivering the firm’s internal communication strategy and associated activities. You will execute communication requirements for the firm’s strategic projects and Shared Services teams, ensuring that our internal communications are engaging, effective, and aligned with our business goals.
Our team
Our National Clients & Markets communications team is made up of a dynamic group of marketing and communication professionals who are passionate about the development and execution of strategies and activities to promote and enhance the BDO brand and meet the needs of our clients. You’ll be recognised and valued within a supportive team and have the flexibility to work from home and in the office. This position can be based in any major Australian city (Adelaide, Brisbane, Melbourne, Perth, Sydney).
Responsibilities :
Internal communication
Lead the development and delivery of the firm’s national internal communication strategy across all channels, including intranet, Viva Engage, MS Teams, and other emerging platforms.
Work directly with the Executive Leadership Team and C-Suite to ensure successful implementation of communication activities.
Champion a culture of proactive internal communication, celebrating successes and encouraging engagement.
Identify and publish internal communication materials aligned with the firm’s and Clients & Markets’ strategy.
Manage the firm’s national internal communication plan to ensure appropriate channels, timing, and messaging are deployed.
Regularly evaluate internal communication activities to measure success and recommend improvements.
Team leadership
Lead and mentor team members in the development and execution of internal communication programs.
Proactively lead a service team responsible for C&M support to Shared Services areas and provide strategic guidance.
Collaborate with other C&M teams to plan and execute internal communication activities.
Work within firm and project budgets, making recommendations regarding their use.
Promote a supportive team environment and act as a positive role model to junior team members
About you :
Prior experience working in internal communications, particularly with organisational leaders and in a national role
Ideally, 5 + years’ experience in a similar role
A passion for internal communication and its role in enhancing organisational culture.
