The Opportunity
As a Substation Engineer at ElectraNet, you’ll help shape South Australia’s clean-energy future by delivering high-quality concept and detailed designs for greenfield and brownfield substations. Working within a collaborative, multicultural team, you’ll support engineering delivery across the full asset lifecycle, from concept design to asset disposal while ensuring technical excellence, safety, and compliance with ElectraNet’s standards. What You’ll Do
About You
You are a qualified Electrical Engineer (degree from an accredited institution and eligible for membership with Engineers Australia) who brings around 3–4 years’ experience in high‑voltage substation design, construction, or commissioning. You have a solid understanding of substation configuration, earthing, insulation coordination, and protection & automation systems, along with strong analytical and problem‑solving skills. You’re comfortable using tools such as AutoCAD, MicroStation, PowerCAD 5 and the Microsoft Office suite, and you enjoy collaborating with diverse stakeholders. A proactive communicator and team player, you thrive in environments that value safety, inclusion, and continuous improvement.
