The Opportunity

We are currently offering an exciting opportunity for a skilled Senior Structural Engineer to join our dynamic and collaborative team in Adelaide for Sedgman Prudentia. As a member of our team, you'll be able to work on a variety of dynamic and complex multi-discipline projects within the Energy, Chemicals and Minerals Processing sectors. Join our team to further develop your experience and apply your technical expertise to engineering deliverables on projects.

Involved In :

  • Structural engineering for processing plant facilities from concept through to detailed design and construction.
  • Performing design calculations for structural steel work and structural concrete and providing input to the designer team.
  • Managing tasks and deliverables within the agreed schedule and project scope.
  • Ensuring work is completed in compliance with technical standards and safety regulations.
  • Cultivating a safety-focused culture and work environment.

About You :

If you're a self-motivated, results-driven individual passionate about delivering high-quality structural engineering designs, with a developed technical design background and demonstrate the following attributes;

  • Tertiary degree in Civil / Structural Engineering.
  • A minimum 7-year structural engineering design (steel and concrete) experience.
  • Experience in Heavy Industry, Minerals Processing, Energy or Chemicals industry.
  • Demonstrated experience in performing design calculations.
  • Demonstrated experience in project delivery from concept through to construction on multi-disciplinary projects.
  • Provide design input to and check 3D models and drawings.
  • Experienced with SPACE GASS.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to think creatively and critically.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proactive and goal-oriented approach to work.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
