Job descriptionMaintenance Officer Fitter working within an experienced Maintenance team performing repairs and preventative maintenance to packaging lines to ensure the efficient running of production. Also perform tasks relating to continuous improvement projects. What are the benefits? Undertake servicing and preventative maintenance of all machinery, plant and equipment. Assist other trades in the form of general repair maintenance or installation of machinery. Diagnose functioning equipment using test equipment and tools to locate the cause of the fault. Inspect plant, equipment and machinery to identify hazards, defects and the need for adjustments or repairs, ensuring compliance codes are adhered to. Provide advice and guidance to the business on whether machinery is fit for use. Attend to and contribute towards operational and team meetings. Complete research and requests for parts replacement and ordering for factory machinery. What do you need? Relevant industry tertiary qualifications Ability to trouble shoot and work proactively as part of a team Proven experience in reactive and preventative maintenance Sound experience in fault finding and fast breakdown response Ability to work flexible hours Highly regarded but not essential Hydraulics / Pneumatic qualifications Fabrication skills (MIG, TIG, STICK) Restricted electrical disconnect / reconnect licence Working at heights licence Experience in a food produce environment or similar
